Serving God through our civil profession!

COME AND SEE...

We are in seminaries training future missionaries, in classrooms teaching, in offices administering, abroad giving counsels to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), in hospitals and retirement homes caring for the sick and the aged, in marginalized communities promoting Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC), etc. . .

We serve as formators, educators, lawyers, architects, engineers, social workers, media men, agriculturists, physicists, chemists, nurses, psychologists,accountants, anthropologists, etc. . .

We are professionals (degree holders/ skilled workers), religious (living a consecrated life), missionaries (assigned in our own country or sent to foreign lands), and global (present in over 70 countries worldwide) ...

We are SVD Brothers... Divine Word Missionaries.

Prayer for Vocations

Most holy and loving God, you called and challenged St. Arnold Janssen to proclaim your Gospel to peoples everywhere. To your Spirit’s prompting, St. Arnold responded with generous devotion to form three communities of religious missionaries.

Watch over, bless, and guide the communities of Sisters, dedicated to the Holy Spirit, and the Brothers and Priests committed to the Divine Word.

All caring God, invite by name many more young men and women to be missionaries in our day. Embrace them with your grace; inflame them with your youthful zeal.

In faith, we make this prayer through Jesus Christ our Lord, the Divine Word.
Amen.

The SVDs work “first and foremost where the Gospel has not yet been preached at all or only insufficiently, and where the local Church is not yet viable on its own” (SVD Constitutions).
